For a habitual work-a-holic like myself, hurdling obstacles makes it all worth the long, sleepless nights. Although it’s hard to find time to devote to it because of my official workload, it’s still rewarding to see KwikUML grow in spite of my unintentional neglect.

Thanks to my friend/co-worker, Ryan Camarillo, the application also sports a new look/feel. Overall, I definitely think it’s headed in the right direction. I’ve got about a dozen more tweaks that I’d like to make between now and 1.0 so stay tuned… ^^

The next step is to refine the look and feel of the app and fix some annoying usability bugs. It’s definitely a time saver to have though while I await the release of the much anticipated Saffron.

So, I snuck in a couple of minutes today to see if I could get PHP 5 support wired into my UML tool, KwikUML. I thought I had an uphill battle, but I actually had everything wired already and just had to fill in one method body and in minutes I had PHP class and interface stub code exporting. ]]> Things have been really busy lately and I haven’t had much time to be in the lab. Next stop is the SQL gen and from there, adding the ability to draw relationships on the canvas. Now, if I could only find some more free time to knock those out… :)
